Who books this route with a pet
The Pazardzhik area – the town itself, Peshtera, Panagyurishte and the villages at the foot of the Rhodopes and the Sredna Gora – is a quiet, green part of the Thracian plain, and some of our clients live or keep a house there. If you fly in with a dog or cat, the last leg is often the hardest: there is no direct train from the airport, and a coach means hauling a crate through Sofia and sitting among strangers. A private transfer starts in the arrivals hall, stops when the animal needs it and ends at your gate. We also drive people relocating with pets, and families visiting relatives with the dog in the back.
Ninety minutes with a dog: keeping it calm
- Let the dog stretch first. After a flight, a short walk on the lead outside the terminal before getting in the car helps a lot – tell the driver and he will wait.
- Water and a bowl in the cabin, not in the boot.
- One break if needed. Mention it when you book and the driver will stop at a fuel station on the motorway. Clip the lead on before the door opens.
- Never leave the animal alone in the car, even for a minute in the shade.
- Older or unwell dogs: check with your vet before the trip.
Cats on the road
Most cats settle quickly in a familiar carrier. Keep the cat inside the carrier for the whole drive, do not open it during a stop and cover it with a light blanket if your cat is nervous. A cat that slips out at a car park can disappear in seconds.
Crate, carrier and which vehicle to book
Your pet travels in your own crate or carrier (Terms and Conditions, item 50.4). It should be big enough for the animal to stand, turn and lie down. Tell us its rough size and how big the dog is, and we will send the right car:
- Sedan – up to 4 passengers, a cat or small dog in a soft carrier, normal luggage.
- Minivan – up to 6 passengers; a large dog in a rigid crate, or a family with lots of suitcases.
- Van – up to 8 passengers; several animals, a group, or a move with boxes.
Arriving at Sofia Airport with your pet
Send us your flight number. We track it, and if the plane is late we simply wait – no time limit and no extra charge. The driver can hold a sign with your name and speaks English. Pet documents and airline rules are your part; for the airport side, see our page on the Sofia Airport transfer with a dog.
Our rules for pets
We carry pets only together with their owner or a person looking after them. The crate or carrier is yours. When you book, tell us what animal you travel with and how big it is – the operator confirms the vehicle and the final price. No prepayment: you pay the driver after the ride.
