How a Sofia Airport transfer with a pet works
- Book in advance. Call, WhatsApp or Viber us on +359 897 227 771, or use the online booking form. Tell us the date, your flight number, the address you are going to and how many people are travelling.
- Tell us about your pet. Dog or cat, roughly how big, and whether it travels in a crate or a soft carrier. If you fly with a large dog in an airline crate, give us the approximate size of the crate – this is how we choose between a sedan, a minivan and a van.
- Your flight is late? We wait. Collecting a pet from the oversized baggage area can take time, and flights are sometimes delayed. Waiting at the airport when your flight is late is unlimited, so there is no need to rush.
- Meet the driver. The driver meets you at arrivals and helps you load the crate and the suitcases.
- Drive straight to your address. No changing buses, no metro with a dog, no queue at the taxi rank. If your dog needs a break on a longer drive, we stop so it can stretch its legs and drink some water.
- Pay after the ride. We do not ask for any prepayment.

We work with around 200 sedans, 50 minivans, 100 vans and 20 Mercedes S- and E-Class cars, so we can match the vehicle to your pet and your luggage:
- Cat or small dog in a carrier – a regular sedan is usually enough. The carrier stays with you on the back seat or on the floor.
- Medium-sized dog – a sedan or a minivan, depending on how much luggage you have.
- Large dog in an airline crate – a minivan or a van, so the crate fits flat and safely and there is still room for the suitcases.
- Family with children and a dog – a minivan or van; child seats are free of charge, just tell us the age of the children.
- Several dogs or a big group – a van with plenty of space for crates and people.

Important: your pet always travels with you
We transport dogs and cats only together with their owner or a person who looks after them. We do not carry animals on their own, we do not collect pets from cargo without a passenger, and we do not deliver animals to new owners. If someone else will travel with your pet, that person rides in the car with it.
The crate or carrier is yours. For safety, every pet travels in a crate or a closed carrier – never loose on the seat. This is also better for the animal: after a flight, its own familiar crate is the calmest place it can be. Documents, microchip and vaccinations for travelling with your pet are your responsibility; please check the current requirements with your vet and your airline before the trip.
Tips for the drive after the flight
- After landing, give your dog a few minutes outside the terminal before getting into the car, if it needs it.
- Keep a bottle of water and a small bowl in your hand luggage – we can stop on the way for a drink.
- Leave cats in the closed carrier until you are inside your accommodation, even for a short ride into the city.
- Put a familiar blanket or toy in the crate – it helps the animal calm down after the noise of the airport.
- In summer, the car is air-conditioned, but late-evening or early-morning flights are easier for dogs with thick coats.
