The road from Burgas Airport to Primorsko

Burgas Airport is on the northern side of the city, so the route to Primorsko first crosses or goes around Burgas and then heads south along the coast. You pass the turn-off for Sozopol, continue past Chernomorets and then through green, wooded countryside close to the sea, before arriving in Primorsko.

The distance is about 50 km and in normal traffic the trip takes around one hour. In summer, especially on Saturdays when many holiday rentals change guests, the road south of Burgas can be busy, so it is good to allow a little extra time for your return to the airport. Primorsko and the southern coast

Primorsko has a long North Beach and a South Beach, and the town centre is full of cafés, restaurants and small shops. Just north of the town is the mouth of the Ropotamo River, one of the best-known nature reserves on the Bulgarian coast.
