The road from Burgas Airport to Nessebar
From the airport, which lies north of Burgas, the road follows the coast north past Pomorie. After about three quarters of an hour you reach the new town of Nessebar, and the narrow isthmus that connects the mainland to the old town on the peninsula. Sunny Beach starts right next door.
The old town of Nessebar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with narrow cobbled streets, and in summer parts of it are closed to traffic or very crowded. If your hotel is on the peninsula, tell us when you book; the driver will take you as close as possible and help with your bags. Hotels in the new town usually have parking right in front of the entrance.
Nessebar is also a good base for exploring the coast. Sunny Beach is next door, Sveti Vlas a little further north, and Burgas and Sozopol to the south. If you want to visit them during your holiday, we can arrange the transfers.
